Tallygear Tummietote Review. Thank you.
![]() |
Thank you to Kirsty & her daughter for this wonderful review of the tummietote belt. I love this picture. This is exactly why I created the belt....its nice to see. ...life is fun. |
"I bought this belt for my 4 year daughter who uses an insulin pump. We now have two tummietote belts as they are so fab. On for wear and one for wash. My daughter loves how comfortable they are. She wears hers 24/7, the only time she takes it off is for a bath or swimming. I love the simplicity of it and the way it fits her so well. It means her pump can be kept out of sight (stops the stares and questions) and out of mind (stops her worrying about her pump). The belts mean my daughter can behave like any other four year old. Thank you Tallygear."

A Review of the Tallygear LegBand by Haley at NaturallySweeet Blog.
Monday, May 23, 2011Tally Gear: My Secret Weapon
A few weeks ago I was in a fashion show. I wore a beautiful long white dress and was very excited about everything. When I was getting dress I came across a dilemma. Where was I going to put my insulin pump during the fashion show?! My underwear was not supportive enough and the pump was dragging it down. I had my Tally Gear belt with me and I placed it under the dress around my waist. Unfortunately since the dress was white and my Tally Gear was neon pink, it was completely visible.
I ended up wearing the pink Tally Gear with three under skirts to mask the pink. It ended up working fine and it was a great night to say the least.
After the fashion show I had a few other events coming up which I knew this would be a similar problem, prom, JDRF promise ball, arts banquet performance, ect.
So I sent an email to the lovely Miss Donna Annese. I told her about how I wanted something discreet and still sturdy to hold my pump while wearing a dress. We came up for the plan of making a garter, and then Donna got busy!
This is the AMAZING product we came up with:
Since I have gotten it, I have worn it at about every possible time I could.
Try and find a sign of wearing an insulin pump in any of these pictures!
Donna, Thank you so much, thank you for being so kind, and thank you for spending all this time to help me.

Tallia Emily received honorable mention...
Tallia Emily has been working on a research project since the start of school in late September 2010. She presented her project Thursday April 16, 2011. She had to make several presentations to the judges. She was very nervous but,did well...she is glad its done. She received honorable mention. Her project was titled Diabetes. She compared the differences between Type 1, Type 2 and Gestational Diabetes. She was concerned that most people didn't realize the difference between the three. She did a terrific job. Congratulations to Tally. You put alot of work in to this project. Good Job.
Tallia is pictured the first on the left in the front row.

Tallygear - Sugar Bolus - LFAC
It probably seems by the title of this blog that I am going to be covering a lot of ground but in actuality it all ties together quite nicely.
So, this week Heather from Sweet to the Soul is hosting a kick ass Sugar Bolus and giving away a Tummietote by Tallygear. GO. CHECK. IT. OUT. NOW.
Tallygear happens to be one of my very favorite diabetes items. Nate has 2 tummietote belts (skulls and geckos cause he's a bad a$$) and last week we ordered and received his new most favorite belt ever . . . a BATMAN zipper waste pack. Holy smokes Batman -- Nate totally adores his new belt. Donna also made Nate a zipper arm pack with the left over Batman material. LOVE. IT.
I tried to get a picture of him wearing it but it is almost impossible to get him to stand still and pose. I got a video of him wearing it but I'm posting that later when I post my 1st VLOG. :)
Cute - right?
I also ordered a few things for me! I've really been wanting a tummietote to wear when I run or just when I am chasing kids. I LOVE IT. I decided to order the Tallygear 'Blue Circle' Tummietote Belt for the Candy Hearts LIFE FOR A CHILD Collection.
Please check out the entire collection of LFAC products here!
So, here I am wearing my awesome Tummietote . . . and I am no REYNA so this is as close as you are ever going to get to seeing my abs. :)
There's also a shameless plug for my brother's gym in that photo too. :)
Wait - I'm almost done. Donna also sent me a matching headband and lots of goodies for the girls.
So, go sign up for Heather's Sugar Bolus, if you don't win head over to Donna's store and buy yourself a tummietote and then check out Wendy's other LFAC products because they are totally amazing and supporting a truly wonderful cause.
Whhhoooooaaaa . . . I almost forgot. I have to show you this super cute armband that Donna made for my iPod when I run.
Dang - I wish I had 1/2 her talent. She's amazing!! Thank you, Donna for your awesomeness!
That is all.

my sisters and me....
this is a picture of my sister Lynney along with myself and my twin sister Deb on the right...I am in the middle.
Its funny how close she and I are being identical twins...it has been alot of fun for the last 30 or so years (hehe)....we both have autoimmune thyroid (graves) disease....probably connected to Tallys' Type 1 diagnosis.
Debra is Tallys godmother and has been there everyday since Tallys' diagnosis....it has been a long road we are creeping up on our fourth year since diagnosis. It has taken its toll on all of us...It has aged both of us greatly. No matter how you try to fight it its a tiring disease on mind and body.
Have a peaceful day.

tally in menemsaha...
The 'Original' tummietote with the clear window...we were on the beach in Menemsha on MV Island fall of 2010...Tal loves the window, she puts the pump in upside down so that when she needs to bolus she just turns the belt up without taking her pump out and makes her adjusts directly throught he heavy duty pliabe vinyl. It was a beutiful day and a relaxing trip for all of us.
